Glance for macOS

Terms of use.

These terms cover the Glance macOS application, the licence that unlocks it, and the Glance Chrome Activities extension. Installing or using Glance means you accept them.

Last updated: September 18, 2026

Who you are dealing with

Glance is published by Anass El Janati, France.

Licences are not sold directly. Polar Software Inc. acts as Merchant of Record: it is the seller on your receipt, it collects any applicable VAT or sales tax, and its own terms govern the payment itself. These terms govern what you may do with the software.

The trial

Glance downloads and runs free for 3 days. The trial is tied to the Mac it started on, so reinstalling the app or creating a new user account does not restart it. When the trial ends, the features that require a licence stop working; nothing you created is deleted.

What your licence gives you

A licence is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It is perpetual: the version you bought keeps working, and there is no recurring charge. It is personal and non-exclusive, and it may be activated on up to 2 Macs that you own or control.

Once 2 Macs are activated, a further activation is refused. If you replace or sell a Mac, email hello@glance.app with your licence key and the seat will be freed for you. You may not resell, rent, sublicense, or publish your licence key, and you may not share it outside the 2 seats.

What you may not do

  • Circumvent, disable, or tamper with the trial period or the licence check.
  • Distribute modified builds of Glance, or redistribute the app as your own product.
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the app, except where that right cannot lawfully be restricted — in the EU, interoperability under Article 6 of Directive 2009/24/EC is expressly reserved to you.
  • Use Glance to break the law or the terms of the services it connects to.

Price, payment and tax

The price shown on this site is the launch price and may change at any time. A change never affects a licence already bought. Taxes are calculated at checkout by Polar Software Inc. based on your billing country, and your receipt comes from them.

Refunds

Glance is free to try for 3 days precisely so you can decide before paying. If you buy and change your mind anyway, email hello@glance.app within 14 days of purchase and the licence will be refunded. You do not need to give a reason.

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, that 14-day period is your statutory right of withdrawal and this clause does not reduce it. Refunds are issued by Polar Software Inc., since it processed the payment, and the refunded licence stops working.

Updates and availability

Updates are released when they are ready. Glance is an independent product under active development, and no specific feature, release date, or future macOS version is promised. If the product is discontinued, the version you hold keeps running under your licence for as long as macOS supports it.

Licence activation requires an internet connection. Once a Mac is activated, Glance keeps working offline for a grace period before it needs to reach the licence server again.

Third-party services

Glance displays activity from tools you already run — coding agents, Chrome, the media app playing on your Mac — and can call optional services such as lyrics or artwork providers. Those tools and services belong to other people. They are not controlled by Glance, they may change or disappear, and their own terms apply to your use of them.

The optional interview features use API keys you supply yourself. You are responsible for those keys, for the cost of the calls they make, and for complying with the provider's terms and with the recording and consent rules that apply where you are. See the privacy policy for what leaves your Mac in each case.

No warranty

Glance is provided "as is". It is not certified for safety-critical, medical, or life-sustaining use, and it is not a backup tool: never rely on it as the only copy of anything. To the extent permitted by law, there is no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

This does not affect the legal guarantee of conformity owed to consumers, which applies regardless of anything written here.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, total liability arising from Glance is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. Liability is not excluded for death or personal injury, for fraud, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or in any other case where the law does not allow it to be excluded.

Ending the licence

You may stop using Glance and uninstall it at any time. A licence may be revoked only if it was obtained fraudulently, charged back, or used to circumvent these terms — in which case the reason will be explained to you at the contact address on the order.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the product changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and a substantive change is announced on this page. Continuing to use Glance after a change means accepting it; if you do not, stop using the app and contact us about a refund if you are still within the refund window.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of France, and the courts of France have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings before your local courts.

Contact

Licensing, refunds, and anything in this document: hello@glance.app. Installation and connection issues are covered on the support page.
